In honor of Teacher Appreciation Month, The Black Teacher Project and The LGBTQ Institute at the National Center for Civil and Human Rights are gathering Black LGBTQ educators and their Black co-conspirators to learn about and celebrate those who came before and those who are continuing the work. This event features a video celebration of past educators and a panel of current Black LGBTQ+ K-12 educator-activists sharing about their work. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet other educators and consider how they can continue to fight for justice in the fullness of their identity. We will also honor Black LGBTQ+ educational leaders, Dr. Bettina Love and Dr. David Johns.
